The Project Manager, Donation, supports the Clinical Donation Services management team by leading project management, business planning, and other key initiatives related to organ and tissue donation. This role is responsible for developing communication briefs and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager plays a critical role in driving successful project execution, promoting strong governance practices, and advancing the adoption of effective project management tools and methodologies to ensure efficient and impactful project delivery.
Here is what you will be doing:
Ensure efficient and effective project management across the portfolio.
Develop briefing notes, presentations, and other materials to support key committees and initiatives.
Coordinate the annual business planning process, ensuring proper follow-up and execution.
Collaborate with the Vice President and other stakeholders to define project requirements and, when appropriate, develop implementation plans.
Work with the clinical team to create project plans and monitor progress to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Apply project management methodology as needed.
Manage changes in project scope and develop contingency plans.
Collaborate with others to find practical solutions to complex problems, using creativity and facilitating brainstorming sessions to explore alternatives.
Prepare and deliver progress reports on identified projects.
Provide strategic advice based on subject matter expertise, ensuring project planning and execution meet stakeholder needs.
Provide regular updates to the Project Management Office.
Create communications, including briefing notes and presentations, to advance initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct research to gather background information necessary for effective communication and presentations.
Support the work of the Donation Steering Committee, Public Reporting Committee, Medical Advisory Committee, and others by preparing and distributing meeting materials in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the Senior Director, Donation Services to coordinate business planning meetings for the clinical management team, ensuring volume targets and plans are established.
Work with Directors to draft relevant sections of the business plan.
Document team responsibilities related to the execution of the business plan and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Contribute to operational and strategic planning initiatives by supporting and collaborating with Directors and Managers.
Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree with preference for science/health background
Master’s degree in health is an asset
Six (6) years of experience in a health-related environment or a combination of equivalent experience and education
Certificate in Project Management preferred
Proven experience with project management methodology
Proven experience with the development and implementation of organizational strategy
Background in organ and tissue donation an asset
Proficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint)
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated issues management and strategic orientation skills to link current actions to strategies or long-term perspective
Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyze, create and apply concepts and approaches
Location: GTA, Ontario (currently hybrid; subject to change)
