Story Behind the Need:

Business group: Canadian and International Data

Customer Insights, Data & Analytics (CID&A) by working with the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) teams implements an enterprise-wide data remediation program.

Project: DRAP (Data Remediation Audit Program) is an enterprise project and/or portfolios of projects, leading cross-functional teams in support of the data and analytics strategy.

Candidate Value Proposition:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a high-visibility project, working closely with multiple Client departments and executive members of Client.

Typical Day in Role:

• Manage the implementation of the data remediation program
• Manage the program funding by working with the Finance manager to track actuals against plan and making any spend adjustments as required and managing funding requests for future years
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and monthly reporting on assigned Project Team financial results
• Coordinate and collect financial data from transit owners, and/or Project OP owners
• Perform analysis of various variances between actuals to ensure accuracy and completeness and understanding of significant transactions
• Identify, manage, and communicate program risks, inter-dependencies, and issues (and work to resolve them) in the program following the Bank’s enterprise delivery framework (EDF) plan to ensure that the program is delivered with quality, on time and on budget
• Ongoing communication of program status, completing the monthly status reports and escalating issues to the Business Sponsor, IT&S Sponsor and PMO as required. Work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
• Ensure the documentation and archiving of program/project activities, deliverables, tools and finders for use in future projects
• Responsible for project management and portfolio level reporting for all initiatives/projects engaged with; includes tracking, status reporting, executive dashboard etc.
• Develop creative solutions to resolve complex problems
• Negotiation and management of contractual obligations with third parties as required
• Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Client’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
• Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 3-4 years of experience in Project Management and Agile
• Well-developed communication skills, including precise articulation of ideas and opinions, to prepare detailed business cases and proposals
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions, especially related to data and analytics
• Experience with financial reporting tools and data visualisation, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• MS Projects are assets
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and CA-PPM
• Experience in financial analysis and reporting, CPA, CFA or similar certification, an asset
• Knowledge of project management, PMP or similar certification, an asset

Soft Skills Required:

• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions, especially related to data and analytics
• Exceptional leadership skills to review processes and procedures to create efficiencies, eliminate duplication and provide organizational support to achieve business objectives
• Well-developed communication skills, including precise articulation of ideas and opinions, in order to prepare detailed business cases and proposals

Education & Certificates:

Post-Secondary Education is required but would be preferred in a related field
