Job Description :Our client is looking for a Project Manager(Cyber Security) in Edmonton, AB

Must Have Primary Skills :

  • 7+ years of experience managing IT cybersecurity projects including complex multi-year programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to develop project plans, manage project risks and issues, and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes.
  • Experience in leading cybersecurity projects of varying complexity in mission critical environments.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing projects to mature cybersecurity controls and leading cybersecurity projects that span technology processes and compensating controls.
  • Previous experience in implementing NIST and CIS cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Previous experience with preparing for and managing a formal cybersecurity audit.
  • Strong experience in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong experience in budget management and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from different departments and functions.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on business needs.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems effectively, executing resolutions in a timely manner.


Nice To Have Secondary Skills :
  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience managing cybersecurity projects for airports or related critical infrastructure industries.
  • Experience managing programs and projects to mature cybersecurity controls and tracking progress against the NIST maturity model.
  • Background in the aviation or transportation industryFamiliarity with industry-specific data standards and regulations.


Proven Experience In :
  • Plan and coordinate projects for the airport's cybersecurity environment, including project scope, timelines, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Develop project schedules, project plans, and project timelines to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project progress on a weekly basis, identifying risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Track project budget, including expenses and resources, and ensure projects are delivered within allocated budget.
  • Conduct project team meetings to ensure project objectives are fully understood and all issues and risks are addressed.
  • Ensure projects adhere to industry standards and airport operations standards.
  • Maintain project documentation including project plans, project schedules, risk management plans, action logs, change request logs, stakeholder registers, and progress reports.
  • Manage project scope and ensure that requirements are delivered on time and to the quality standards expected.
  • Manage project stakeholder communications, including reporting on project progress, risks, and issues, to ensure stakeholders are fully informed about the project status.
  • Manage 3rd party performance and project deliverables (if applicable).
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
