ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

The Project Manager has the authority to run projects on a day-to-day basis. Verifying that the project produces the required deliverables within the specified constraints of time, quality and cost to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case.

The projects are enterprise level of varying complexity and size within a matrix organizational structure. Deliverables can vary in scope from business to technology streams or a combination of both. Projects are delivered following a gated governance model and associated reporting into the portfolio of projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead and manage projects within our Corporate Services Group (Finance, HR, Fleet, IT) or Business Lines (Construction, Service, Facilities, Utilities) and vendors. Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders through development of well-structured project plans to ensure timely, on-scope, and on-budget delivery.
  2. Provide leadership inspiring project stakeholders to maintain commitments managing to KPIs, KRIs, and project milestones, while fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  3. Support the Project Intake Process (review, due diligence, challenge, prioritization, approval).
  4. Enhance project management capabilities by contributing to the development of best practices, templates, policies, and tools.
  5. Develop business cases, conduct financial and operational analyses, and create actionable project strategies for informed decision-making.
  6. Independently and proactively manage projects, stakeholders and objectives.
  7. Ensure effective communication and change management throughout the project lifecycle, addressing conflicts, dependencies, and critical-path deliverables.
  8. Leverage existing tooling, playbooks, and best practices from our center of excellence to drive project success.
