As Project Manager, you'll work closely with Site Superintendents, consultants, subcontractors, and internal operations teams to coordinate project execution, monitor schedules and budgets, manage project documentation, and support quality throughout construction and closeout.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are well‑coordinated, risks are proactively managed, and stakeholders remain informed throughout the construction process.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Work Location: Split between Southwest Properties Head Office and onsite construction offices. All project sites are within HRM.

  • Assist in administering subcontracts, including reviewing scopes of work, schedules of values, and subcontractor performance.
  • Review and coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals to ensure timely resolution.
  • Lead startup meetings with subcontractors to review project expectations, scopes, and coordination requirements.
  • Manage project change documentation, including Site Instructions (SIs), Change Directives (CDs), Change Orders (CCOs), and associated cost tracking.

  • Monitor quality control processes throughout construction and support deficiency management.
  • Support commissioning activities, project closeout, warranty documentation, and turnover requirements.
  • Promote a safe, collaborative, and organized project environment.
Your Environment

Your work environment will be shared between the Southwest Properties Head Office and onsite construction offices. Site conditions may include exposure to loud noise, seasonal temperature extremes, dirt, and dust. Appropriate safety procedures and personal protective equipment are required when onsite.
