Our client, a well-established general contractor with nearly 30 years in the industry, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team in Surrey, British Columbia. The ideal candidate will bring experience managing commercial tenant improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to closeout, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule are maintained.
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, subtrades, and clients to address challenges and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Issue and track subtrade contracts, insurance, bonds, WCB notices, and other project startup documentation.
  • Utilize project management software (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, Site Docs) to manage budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Work closely with site superintendents to deliver high-quality results and ensure field and office teams are aligned.
  • Oversee financial performance of projects, including invoicing, budget updates, and reporting to management.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of project management experience in commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subtrade coordination, and financial management.
  • Post-secondary education in construction or a related field is preferred (e.g., BCIT or similar).
  • Comfortable working independently while maintaining open communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Teams, BuildingConnected).
  • Ability to travel to job sites throughout BC as required.
