Job summary

HireLoft Recruitment, partnering with a well-established commercial construction company in Calgary, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own projects end-to-end, coordinate teams, and deliver quality builds on time and on budget.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors, lead meetings, and ensure safety and compliance while building strong client relationships. Relevant degree and PM experience required; Procore or MS Project experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven PM experience in commercial/general construction.
• Experience with multi-million dollar builds; contracts and delivery methods knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; maintain profitability.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep work on spec.
• Review invoices, manage change orders, and maintain project docs.
• Lead meetings and update clients and leadership on progress, budget, risks.
• Anticipate delays and adjust plans to keep milestones on schedule.
• Champion site safety and ensure codes and quality standards are met.
• Build strong client relationships through clear, consistent communication.

About the opportunity

HireLoft Recruitment is partnering with a well-established commercial construction company in Calgary to find an experienced Project Manager. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys owning projects end to end, keeping teams aligned, and delivering quality builds on time and on budget. What you'll be doing

You will take ownership of assigned construction projects from planning through closeout, acting as the main point of contact for clients and coordinating the moving parts along the way. Day to day, that includes:

• Building and managing project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts, and keeping profitability on track
• Coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep work moving and on spec
• Reviewing and approving invoices, managing change orders, and maintaining clean project documentation (contracts, RFIs, submittals, reports)
• Leading project meetings and providing regular updates on progress, budget, and risks to clients and leadership
• Anticipating delays and risks early and adjusting plans to keep milestones on schedule
• Championing site safety and ensuring all work meets applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards
• Building strong client relationships through clear, consistent communication

What we're looking for

• A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven project management experience in commercial or general construction
• Comfortable managing larger-scale, multi-million dollar builds
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, project delivery methods, and budget/schedule control
• Hands-on experience with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar
