Overview

Role: Senior Project Manager
Contract Duration: 11/04/2025 to 11/03/2026
Location: Port Hope, ON
Rate Range: $100 - $125

Responsibilities
  • As a member of the engineering team, you will perform duties of both a project engineer and project manager, supporting some existing projects and leading others. As a project manager, you control and monitor various capital and expense projects at the conversion facility. You will manage the project scope as it relates to the engineering, procurement, construction and customer acceptance of projects in a safe, efficient and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the approved scope, budget and schedule.
  • As a project engineer, you will provide engineering (electrical, mechanical or civil) expertise throughout the Port Hope Conversion Facility and provide design work and technical support to the site projects team.
  • Responsibilities include working with site customers to define business needs, develop conceptual solutions and obtain buy-in from site stakeholders, present solutions to management, develop detailed scope of work and costing, submit funding requests, complete detailed engineering and develop scopes of work for equipment and installation, evaluate bids, complete installation, commission and turnover of projects, prepare requests for proposals, manage contracts and scheduling and provide progress reporting.
  • You will provide specialized technical information and guidance ensuring solutions are compliant with all applicable codes, Cameco procedures, standards and regulatory requirements. This role may involve several smaller projects with typical budgets under $2M or a larger project with a budget greater than $50M.
  • This position is at site 5 days/week.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years industrial experience
  • Proven professional, hands-on experience in the design, installation and commissioning of electrical, mechanical or piping systems
  • Strong task management skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Strong leadership, communicative, analytical and adaptability skills
  • Professional Engineer licensed in the province of Ontario
  • Experience gained from within a chemical or petro-chemical continuous operation
  • Experience at a nuclear facility
  • Experience managing large multi-disciplinary projects in excess of $50M
  • SAP experience, particularly with Project Systems
