We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who shares our values to support projects in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary: The Project Manager (PM) will lead construction, engineering, or performance contracting projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents. The PM will coordinate a team of professionals, managing information flow to ensure smooth project execution from start to finish.

Scope of Responsibilities:
  • Promote and uphold the company’s vision, mission, and values
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, quality assurance, and human resource policies
  • Maintain compliance with employment and payroll legislation
  • Create project management plans and specifications; participate in Early Contractor Involvement to influence design, schedule, cost savings, and risk mitigation
  • Support planning and execution of work breakdown structures, cost management, and earned value methodology
  • Attend and prepare for client meetings as appropriate
  • Report project progress weekly and monthly
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards
  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders and at executive levels
  • Manage safety and quality efforts, utilizing resources effectively
  • Develop and monitor construction schedules with the project controls team
  • Review and control daily labor, equipment, and materials
  • Monitor project metrics, costs, and budgets
  • Identify scope changes and secure change orders
  • Ensure regulatory inspections are completed
  • Prepare and manage project deficiency lists
  • Oversee financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests
  • Proactively resolve challenges and remove barriers
  • Build trustworthy relationships with vendors, contractors, clients, and personnel
  • Coach and review performance of direct reports
Project Management Duties:
  • Assist with contract review and negotiation
  • Coordinate with operational and support departments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Report deviations and propose resolutions
  • Travel frequently to work sites
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
  • 5-10 years of project management experience
  • PMP certification
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
  • Understanding of construction terms, scheduling, and planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Strong communication skills
  • High work ethic, honesty, and leadership by example
  • Work performed mainly in an office setting with remote options; some travel required
