Job Description

Parsons is seeking a talented Project Manager to oversee construction operations related to buildings. The role involves managing daily activities, ensuring technical understanding of the scope, and completing work within budget and schedule.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Ensure construction compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and performance standards, including all relevant legislation and project plans.
  2. Obtain all necessary permits before work begins.
  3. Plan and coordinate construction activities, including design and procurement interfaces.
  4. Ensure construction aligns with design specifications; manage design changes with proper approvals.
  5. Collaborate with superintendents, coordinators, and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget goals.
  6. Supervise construction staff activities and maintain updated project information, especially schedules.
  7. Coordinate with Procurement for tendering and awarding subcontracted services and supplies.
  8. Prepare monthly cost reports and assist the Commercial Team with invoicing.
  9. Interface with Design, Procurement, and Construction teams.
  10. Prepare and manage project documentation, including VRFQ packages, schedule changes, and closeout procedures.
  11. Address project issues promptly and communicate updates to the Segment Manager.
Required Skills
  • Post-secondary education in a construction-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in large, complex infrastructure projects, preferably with LRT construction.
  • Experience in contract management is a plus.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license; a clean driving record preferred.
