The Opportunity:

WSP has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Heritage team in British Columbia. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the Heritage team to lead and manage projects and business opportunities throughout the province. You will gain valuable and diverse work experience as part of our province-wide Heritage team and will have opportunities to work on multidisciplinary projects that will contribute to your professional development. The successful candidate will ideally be based in one of our offices in BC including Castlegar, Cranbrook, Fort St John, Kamloops, Kelowna, Langley, Nanaimo, Prince George, Rossland, Smithers, Terrace, Vancouver, and Victoria.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget throughout a project lifecycle, all with the support of the Heritage Team.
  • Work within WSP’s project management portal (Oracle HCM) and with both internal and client accounting teams to maintain the overall financial success of the project.
  • Implement project support plans to maintain and track health and safety, quality, risk management, communication, and documentation.
  • Work with the Heritage team to achieve the technical requirements and expectations of clients, Indigenous groups, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior project staff.
  • Participate in WSP’s Health & Safety program, demonstrating a “Safety First” focus and acting as a role model to other staff.

What you'll bring to WSP:

  • Demonstrable expertise in project management, including project planning and organizational skills and an ability to work with a diverse team.
  • An interest in archaeology and cultural heritage; however, previous direct experience is not required.
  • A willingness and passion for working with Indigenous groups and communities.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with the suite of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Project) and Adobe Acrobat Software.
  • Experience in Oracle HCM or similar accounting systems.
  • A detail and result-oriented mindset.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
  • Designated PMP’s or experience with engineering or environmental consulting will be considered favorably.

Salary range (in British Columbia): $74,600 to $102,600

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
