Job Summary

The Project Manager coordinates and manages development projects within their assigned Line of Business (LOB), from the initial planning through to release.

Assignment of LOB will come from the Director of Product Management and assignment of projects within the LOB will be determined by the LOB Team Lead, based upon the relative prioritizations of projects within the LOB.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cost project proposals based on input from Product Development Teams, Product Managers and Manufacturing
  • Initiate projects by configuring document templates and spaces within tracking systems
  • Assign team during project initiation stage, with assistance of the LOB Team Lead
  • Maintain and update project scheduling throughout project
  • Ensure resources are adequate and optimally assigned within the scope of the project
  • Drive project execution based on requirements provided by Product Management and approved processes
  • Set deadlines for task completion and hold resources accountable to deadlines with follow up and status checks
  • Review the need for and request additional resources, with justification, necessary to maintain or advance project scheduling
  • Manage resources on projects with competing needs in accordance with the relative prioritization of the projects within the LOB, as determined by the LOB Team Lead and Product Manager
  • Ensure that the product development process is followed, preparing all details and information and ensuring this data is stored in the correct places for audits
  • Manage regular project team meetings including the setup, agenda, minutes and status reports from each meeting
  • Communicate and coordinate the flow of information with internal stakeholders including other LOBs regarding deliverables and timelines
  • Risk management – identify and monitor project risks, probabilities, magnitudes, and mitigating factors, and provide mitigation plans and assigned tasks
  • Prepare and manage project change requests, scope changes, and impact on resources
  • Assist with consolidation of financial data regarding actual project costs for LOB reporting
  • Provide necessary information and direction to have invoices paid to sub-contractors
  • Ensure that review milestones including design reviews, functional reviews, and manufacturing reviews are conducted
  • Guide the launch process such that all necessary teams within the company are mobilized and driven to achieve deliverables necessary for successful launch
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined necessary

  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Five years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
  • Continued membership with the Project Management Institute (PMI) is considered an asse
  • PMP Certification is considered an asset

Work Location: In-office environment that is currently 3 days per week

Compensation:$75,000 - $100,000

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
