Our client, a respected general contractor in British Columbia, who is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, including wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations. This is a great opportunity for a skilled construction professional to make an impact while working with a collaborative and high-performing team.

About the Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional with a passion for managing infrastructure projects. As Project Manager, you will lead all aspects of construction delivery, from pre-construction and planning through to project execution and closeout formanaging infrastructure projects focused on wastewater treatment, lift stations, and pump stations.

About the Position:
You will oversee project setup, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and stakeholder communication. You will guide multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors and consultants to ensure quality, safety, and delivery on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is comfortable with both field and office responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setup and execution of infrastructure projects with a focus on wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related systems
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through to final turnover
  • Maintain responsibility for project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and schedules
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, site teams, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure smooth and timely execution
  • Organize project teams, delegate responsibilities, and drive performance to meet deliverables
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Mitigate project risks and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management roles with a mid-size or large general contractor
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams across all phases of construction
  • Proven experience managing technically complex infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and project documentation
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites as required
  • Site Ready BC certification (or ability to obtain)
