Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma with financial acumen
  • 3-5 years’ of experience in project and people management
  • Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and contract management
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, vendors and crew
  • Experience in maintaining Profit and Loss accounts (P&L)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of having MTO or construction management or maintenance experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and drive project success

Day in the Life

This is a dynamic Project Manager role offering an exciting opportunity to oversee tender management and implement robust cost-tracking mechanisms to monitor and control project expenses. The Project Manager will also be responsible for coaching Superintendents, Patrol Supervisors, and administrative staff to ensure contract compliance and high-quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include managing budgets by forecasting and allocating resources, driving safety and efficiency through effective leadership, and ensuring employee performance and training meet regulatory and policy standards. The role also involves planning and executing in-scope capital programs, managing subcontractor negotiations and performance, and ensuring alignment with contract requirements. Additionally, the Project Manager will uphold quality standards through compliance with Miller Maintenance Limited’s Quality Management System and serve as the primary liaison with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) and other key stakeholders to meet client expectations.

The successful candidate can work out of Kakabeka Falls or Marathon.
