Our client in Winnipeg, MB is looking for several Project Manager resources for an initial 9-month contract with extensions, reference 221-0625. The position can be remote anywhere in Canada.
What you will be doing :
- Plan, organize, and manage various aspects of projects, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure. Projects will vary in complexity, duration, approach, and technology.
- Develop, track, and report on project budgets and variances.
- Plan and assign resources effectively.
- Track project progress and report status updates.
- Coordinate reports and documentation to support portfolio initiatives.
- Manage issues through logging, tracking, and escalation processes.
- Handle project change management using the change control process for scope, budget, and schedule adjustments.
- Ensure quality management through review and acceptance of deliverables.
- Plan and execute communication strategies.
- Define and manage the deliverable acceptance process, including identifying responsible parties and procedures.
What you must have :
- At least 15 years of experience managing Information Technology projects.
- Minimum 5 years of experience preparing project budgets.
- Valid PMP certification.
- Prince2 Practitioner certification is an asset.
- Expertise in project lifecycles, planning, resource, cost, and schedule estimation.
- Experience in preparing business cases for IT projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills – oral, written, and presentation.
- Experience working in the Public Sector is an asset.
- Experience in gaming (casino) environments is an asset.
- Experience managing custom app implementations is an asset.
- Canadian federal security clearance is an asset.
- Must have a Windows-based computer configured for MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and capable of running Microsoft Project 2024.
