Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Victoria office. In this role, you will manage a team of designers to take projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, time and budget expectations are achieved. You should be an experienced engineer with an excellent track record, both technically and in business development. Creative thinking and a proactive attitude, along with strong communication, organizational and report writing skills, are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, coordination, and completion of multiple projects.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, specifications, and meeting minutes.
  • Team supervision, including assigning work, peer reviews, and technical guidance.
  • Establish and monitor internal budgets and project delivery schedules.
  • Provide mentorship for designers to ensure they are continually growing.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives for the development of new systems and standards
  • Comply with AME Quality management standards and processes.

Key Skills

  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, IESve, HAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical developments in the field of engineering.
  • Analytical, communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all employees, clients, colleagues, and municipal agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to formulate sound engineering decisions and judgment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • P.Eng. or Professional Technologist designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 7 years of mechanical (HVAC, plumbing and fire protection) experience in design, project management and client relations.
  • Sustainable design certification (LEED, Certified Passive House Designer, etc.) or experience would be an asset.
