Project Manager

Our public sector client seeks a skilled Project Manager to oversee design and construction projects at stations and facilities.

This role involves managing project bundles, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to customers. You will coordinate all project phases from design to construction and handover, including procurement, documentation, risk reporting, and approvals.

Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, managing vendors, enforcing safety standards, resolving customer satisfaction issues, tracking project progress, monitoring budgets, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project delivery.

Qualifications:

• College diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering Technology, Building Science, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Engineering Technician (CET), or Engineering designation is an asset.
• At least three (3) years of experience in planning, designing, and constructing transit or maintenance facilities.
• Strong knowledge of engineering theories, practices, and principles, especially in civil, mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering, as well as building science and architecture.
• Extensive experience in project management, including cost control, scheduling, compliance, and contract law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders and contractors.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

This position is for 6 months with a possibility of extension.
