Job Title: Project Manager

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager to join their team in Ottawa. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing daily project operations, financial management, and client deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, invoicing, and receivables.
  • Oversee daily project operations, scope, and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Review and approve team deliverables, ensuring accuracy and quality before client submission.
  • Conduct project reviews and implement quality assurance measures to minimize risks.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date project documentation for compliance and reference.
  • Prepare and verify job costing, including RFIs, CCNs, COs, labor, and material charges.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and resolve disputes.
  • Procure materials in line with engineering standards while controlling costs.
  • Adjust staffing and schedules to optimize performance and financial outcomes.
  • Promote workplace safety, prioritizing a zero-incident environment for crews.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management, construction management, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or welding.
  • Strong knowledge of project financials, including budgeting, invoicing, and cost control.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client, vendor, and team interactions.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in construction/field operations.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite.
