Job summary

Sogeclair, a global engineering partner, is seeking a project manager to coordinate industrial layout and infrastructure initiatives from our Montreal office.

The role requires 5+ years in project management within an industrial environment, strong synthesis and communication skills in French and English, and proficiency with Windows tools. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects while ensuring deadlines and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in industrial, mechanical, civil engineering, architecture or equivalent.
• 5+ years of project management experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong synthesis; ability to translate technical info in writing and speaking in French and English; good Windows skills (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/MS Project/Teams).

Job description

TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

• Establish the needs of the various sectors of the plant in terms of layout or infrastructure.
• Present projects to internal entities and communicate their progress.
• Develop and choose innovative solutions while respecting customer needs.
• Respect the rules in terms of health, safety and the environment and intervene as needed.
• Ensure that deliverables comply with plans and specifications and meet deadlines.
• Plan several projects simultaneously while respecting the challenges and constraints of operations.
• Manage the work under your responsibility (HSE, Quality, etc.) by ensuring constant monitoring of external contractors.
• Respect budgets and inform Bombardier managers when required of any excess costs related to the project.

YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS

Skills & qualifications:

• You have a university degree or college diploma in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture / or Equivalent.
• You have more than 5 years of experience as a project manager in an industrial environment or Equivalent.
• You demonstrate an excellent spirit of synthesis; you easily popularize technical information in your written and oral communications while demonstrating an excellent command of French and a good knowledge of English.
• You have good computer skills in a Windows environment: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Teams etc.
• You are a good communicator; you easily interact with several stakeholders from different backgrounds.
• You are autonomous, innovative and dynamic.
• You show leadership and you have very good ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• You are a very organized person, you are results-oriented while remaining flexible to changing priorities and accustomed to working on several projects at the same time.
• You have experience in project management and ideally in drawing on Autocad.
