Overview
Project Manager role at EssilorLuxottica – Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Your Mission
As a Project Manager, you will actively participate in the improvement of Essilor Canada's business processes for Operations. You will be responsible to lead and implement projects and programs. You will work in conjunction with other departments to implement actions to identify opportunities for improvement, support the structure of the implementation of changes, and ensure effective management of timelines through your project management expertise.
Responsibilities
- Act as leader of multiple projects in the Operations field.
- Act as a Project Manager to support operations transformation (new products, new processes, new equipment, new layout).
- Coordinate medium to large cross-functional teams to deliver value-added projects for the organization.
- Customer focus: listen to and understand the needs of internal and external customers and communicate effectively between organizations.
- Drive for results focused on continuous improvement to develop sustainable and automated processes that improve service levels and reduce costs.
- Communication: communicate effectively and collaborate with team members across the organization to resolve issues.
- Carry out needs analysis, coordinate implementation of actions and follow-up after implementation.
- Develop and monitor the schedule, budget, QM plan, human resources, communication plan, and risk management plan.
- Establish and publish key performance indicators for project portfolio management.
- Develop tools and methodologies for best management practices.
- Manage continuous improvement projects for operational processes to promote best practices and increase efficiency.
- Participate in improving business processes to maximize productivity, efficiency, quality and cost reduction, and overall performance.
- Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement or cost reduction.
- Within projects, contribute to continuous improvement of productivity, scrap reduction, lead times, process simplification, and production costs.
- Promote project management and continuous improvement tools and provide support to other departments.
- Identify, document, and resolve issues that occur during the lifetime of a project.
Your Profile
- University degree (Bachelor's) in engineering or other relevant field.
- 5+ years' professional experience in project management or continuous improvement.
- Master's degree in project management (PMP).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (asset).
- Good knowledge of project management methodologies (development and monitoring of baseline content, schedule, budget, resources, communication, procurement, risk and QM).
- Experience with ERP systems (asset).
- Strong organizational skills and rigor.
- Ability to work in a constantly changing environment and influence others across functional areas.
- Well-organized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and handle detailed work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; results-oriented.
- Strong writing and IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, SmartSheet, Jira).
- Team spirit and leadership; good communication and group facilitation skills.
- bilingual French / English, spoken and written.
- Experience in optics (asset).
- Available for occasional travel.
