Your Role

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team based in Central Ontario!

Join our team of experts leading major capital building and infrastructure projects. Working across communities in Ontario, our team is dedicated to bringing meaningful change. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders. You should have in-depth knowledge and experience managing complex projects from inception to completion, aligned with client objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact throughout the project to achieve strategic goals.
  • Lead programs or large capital projects, varying in size and scope.
  • Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded, representing their best interests regarding contractual and technical issues.
  • Select, organize, and influence multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Lead client and project meetings, managing multiple stakeholders and communication streams.
  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients, supporting business development and sales opportunities alongside Business Development Managers, Principals, or Vice Presidents.
  • Regularly report on project status through schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial reports, and other documentation.
  • Oversee change management processes, payment certificates, and other contractual or administrative documents.
  • Manage project-related documents and ensure all work complies with our Quality Management System and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of project management experience, particularly in delivering building developments for owners.
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Experience working with public sector clients is advantageous.
  • Deep knowledge of design and construction methodologies, project management models, financial management, building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation.
  • Advanced understanding of project management methodologies and experience working in a PMO environment.
  • Strong client management and people skills, with the ability to influence and resolve issues effectively.
  • Detail-oriented leadership capable of thriving in a process-driven environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling (MS Project), Word, and Excel.

We recognize that candidates may not meet every qualification. At Colliers Project Leaders, we value diversity, inclusion, and authenticity. If you're excited about this role but lack some qualifications, we encourage you to apply—your unique perspective could be just what we need.
