A utility project management firm based in Halton Region is seeking a Project Manager to oversee capital initiatives and subdivisions. The ideal candidate has over 4 years of project management experience, particularly in construction or engineering. This hybrid position involves working closely with developers and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Competitive compensation in the range of $110,000 - $125,000 per year is offered.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of project management experience taking projects from conception to completion.
  • Construction or Engineering Experience.
  • Stakeholder communication and management experience.
  • Ability to communicate and build rapport with approval agencies.
  • Experience working with Ontario Utilities at a Distribution level.

  • Collaborate with developers, consultants, contractors, and legal teams.

Overview

The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate various subdivisions, capital initiatives, and budget planning activities for the utility client. This position involves working closely with developers, the Region of Halton, consultants, contractors, and legal teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet required standards. The Project Manager will also collaborate extensively with internal teams such as Operations, Engineering, and Finance to ensure smooth execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of project management experience taking projects from conception to completion (Execution, development, design phase)
  • Construction or Engineering Experience
  • Stakeholder communication and management experience (Dealing with municipalities, Public offices for permits, Clients, contractors etc.)
  • Scheduling, Budgeting, Dealing with problems. Ability to communicate, built rapport with approval agencies.
  • Experience working with Ontario Utilities at a Distribution level
  • Experience working with developer
  • Experience in contract management, including tender preparation and evaluation
  • P. Eng., PMP, or CET preferred
