Job description

Our client is searching for a Project Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all stages of Pre-Engineering Building construction, ensuring the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while leading and supporting the project team. A successful candidate will be a part of the team, made up of individuals with unique talents and perspectives, work together each and every day to deliver exceptional, successful projects and experiences for our clients.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

  • Lead and ensure that all operational standards and processes are achieved, ensuring operational efficiency, consistency, and excellence are achieved
  • Build and develop operations talent and Cultural Management, supporting the company as the best place to learn work and thrive
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and lean culture through best practices, training and development of all staff members, and work with existing pre-engineered staff to build a highly functioning department
  • Responsible for all aspects of project start up, including but not limited to, finalizing the contract, conducting project startup meetings, and preparing the project execution plan, resource and staffing plans, and procurement management
  • Project execution and document control responsibilities including Request for Information, Site Instructions, Submittals, Change Requests, Change Orders
  • Be responsible for all aspects of financial management strategy for the Pre-Engineered portion
  • Create and manage the schedule
  • Track productivity and performance of the project
  • Be responsible for all aspects of project close out including training, inspections, turnover, and warranty
  • Chair meetings, issue minutes, and follow up on action items
  • Develop a strategy to deliver and drive results on the identified project performance goals and conditions of satisfaction
  • Provide elevated client care and services to ensure the highest value to clients
  • Support and grow ongoing sub-trade and client relationships
  • Problem solve and coordinate with building manufacturers to order and deliver projects in conjunction with the Project Management team
  • Use building manufacturers software to assist with development of Estimates for Pre-Engineered Building projects would be an asset, but willing to train
  • Work with the Project Development team and assist with securing Pre-Engineered building opportunities
  • Participate in project interviews
  • Participate in Leadership development and training of the project team

Your strengths include :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Project Manager, managing the construction of Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional buildings in particular Pre-Engineered structures
  • Understanding of various types of construction contracts, including design build, to assist Project Development and Project teams for the right fit for the client
  • Experience managing the entire construction process from startup to closeout, would be a asset on a variety of project sizes and complexities
  • Understanding the principles of Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with Last Planner System is an asset
  • Experience with Procore Construction Management Software is an asset
