Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Director, the Project Manager manages diverse priorities of project team members, communicates clearly to resolve issues while respecting project scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Ensures all phases of project activities comply with government and ministry legislation, policies, guidelines, standards and procedures. Works with stakeholders and industry to achieve results, requiring extensive professional knowledge of project management principles including procurement, design, and construction disciplines.
Required skills include strong decision-making and negotiation to resolve issues related to design proposals, progress claims, fee determination, construction contract delays, or extra cost claims. Builds collaborative working relationships with clients, senior leadership, and representatives of Government departments, boards and agencies.

This position is temporary, full-time with standard hours of 36.25 per week, Monday to Friday (8:15 am – 4:30 pm). Location: Edmonton, Alberta. A valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required. Pre-employment checks may include references, criminal record check, academic verification, etc. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
