Job description

Mission

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Project Manager to manage and deploy large-scale projects aimed at improving the efficiency of manufacturing equipment and processes. If you have a solid background in manufacturing project management, mastery of manufacturing equipment, automation, and machine safety, this position is definitely for you.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Structure and organize projects involving new equipment commissioning, building modifications, and subcontractor management.
  • Supervise and coach a project engineer within your team.
  • Draw up specifications and work with the purchasing department on equipment acquisitions.
  • Contribute to the development of manufacturing strategies related to equipment growth and replacement.
  • Ensure safety and risk compliance of equipment, in collaboration with the OHS coordinator.
  • Ensure environmental compliance of the site.
  • Monitor technological innovation to identify and integrate emerging trends.

Profile

With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role :

  • Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.
  • 7 to 10 years' experience in manufacturing project management, particularly in metal processing equipment, machining, welding, and painting.
  • Knowledge of automation and robotization.
  • Good command of legal and machine safety standards.
  • Bilingualism (French / English) to be able to discuss with our English-speaking suppliers.
