Job summary

Public Services Delivery Scotland (ARHAI Scotland) is seeking a Project Manager to lead antimicrobial resistance and healthcare associated infection priority programmes. You will support consultants and senior staff to manage programme plans, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive forward objectives.

You must have degree-level education or equivalent experience, strong organisation and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; NHS knowledge is

Responsibilities

• Represent ARHAI Scotland and produce Programme updates as required; develop links to other Programmes.
• Identify barriers to delivery and work with the team to mitigate risks and keep objectives on time and budget.
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to drive forward Programme objectives.

The Post

Why not consider an opportunity to work as a Project Manager within Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland, part of Public Services Delivery Scotland, we work in partnership to deliver ARHAI Scotland Priority Services which enable and support a safer and healthier Scotland.

We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager to work in Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland. ARHAI Scotland leads and supports efforts to prevent healthcare associated infection by means of guidance development, surveillance, operational support and training, covering areas such as surgical‑site surveillance, decontamination, microbiological surveillance, research and infection prevention and control.

The post holder will play an important role in a range of activities to support ARHAI Scotland’s Priority Programmes. The post holder will support consultants, programme leads and senior scientific staff to manage and deliver Programme plans, working with internal and external stakeholders to drive forward objectives. The post holder will work autonomously and lead on various pieces of work to support the Programmes, identifying barriers and working with the team and others to mitigate these to enable the delivery of objectives on time and within budget. The post holder will represent ARHAI Scotland and produce Programme updates to internal and external stakeholders as required, developing links to other Programmes and areas of work as needed.

The Candidate

You will have an enthusiastic approach, excellent organisation and communication skills and be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience. You will be a Project Manager who can scope work, create and manage project documentation and plans and have experience of risk management, looking for solutions to enable Programme delivery. You must be able to show initiative and prioritise work, manage your own workload and maintain high standards, with excellent attention to detail. You will be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You will have a proven track record as a team player and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge and experience of the NHS would be advantageous.

Location and Working Pattern

The contract location of this role will be Glasgow, however, we are currently hybrid working with significant scope for working from home. Access to other NHS NSS buildings across Scotland can also be made available for working if required. This is a permanent, full time post (36 hours), worked between Monday to Friday.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK and have entitlement to work in the UK for the post in which you will be employed.
