Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Project Manager in the Oil & Gas Equipment Fabrication in Calgary, Ontario. Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom designed equipment used in the oil & gas and utilities industries. They are expanding and are looking to add a Project Manager with 5-10 years of experience to their team. This full-time role is based in our client’s Calgary office. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing large-scale equipment supply and installation projects from initial award through to site completion.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with project engineers and drafting teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
2. Review and interpret manufacturing drawings, contracts, technical specifications, and design codes.
3. Support purchasing and production teams as needed to meet project objectives.
4. Prepare project documentation, technical reports, and sub-contractor bid packages.
5. Communicate regularly with customer commercial and technical representatives.
6. Provide monthly progress updates to customers and quarterly financial reports to the leadership team.
7. Manage multi-disciplinary activities throughout the project lifecycle, including design, fabrication, site installation, commissioning, and equipment startup.

Requirements:

1. Technical degree or diploma in an engineering discipline, PMP designation considered an asset.
2. 5-10 years of experience in project management, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Utilities, or similar industries.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, technical specifications, and design codes.
5. Familiarity with ASME codes and standards.
6. Knowledge of thermal/heat transfer principles, combustion systems, mechanical engineering design and modular fabrication is considered an asset.
