Job description

Our client is searching for a Project Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all stages of Pre-Engineering Building construction, ensuring the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while leading and supporting the project team. A successful candidate will be a part of a team with diverse talents and perspectives, working together daily to deliver exceptional projects and experiences for clients.

Your success will be defined by your ability to :

  • Lead operational standards and processes to achieve efficiency, consistency, and excellence
  • Build and develop operations talent and foster a positive culture, supporting the company as a great place to learn, work, and thrive
  • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and lean practices through training, development, and collaboration with staff
  • Manage project start-up activities, including contract finalization, startup meetings, and planning
  • Handle project execution and document control, including RFI, site instructions, submittals, change requests, and change orders
  • Oversee financial strategies for the Pre-Engineered portion of projects
  • Create and manage project schedules
  • Track productivity and performance
  • Manage project close-out, including training, inspections, turnover, and warranties
  • Chair meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items
  • Develop strategies to meet project performance goals and client satisfaction
  • Provide high-quality client care and service
  • Support and expand relationships with sub-trades and clients
  • Coordinate with building manufacturers for project delivery, problem-solving, and order management
  • Utilize building manufacturer software for estimating (training available if needed)
  • Assist with securing Pre-Engineered building opportunities
  • Participate in project interviews and leadership development

Your strengths include :

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction-related discipline
  • 5+ years of project management experience in Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional construction, especially Pre-Engineered structures
  • Knowledge of various construction contracts, including design-build
  • Experience managing the entire construction process from startup to closeout across various project sizes and complexities
  • Understanding of Lean principles, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with Last Planner System and Procore software is an asset
