The salary range for this position is CAD $45.46/Hr. - CAD $65.35/Hr.
Providence Health Care's Virtual Health team is now accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Project Leader.
Reporting to the Director, Virtual Health and Shared Care, the Project Leader is responsible for coordinating and implementing project activities related to the Virtual Health and Shared Care portfolio to ensure project deliverables are completed on time and on budget and meet the established goals and objectives. Projects may involve process and communication improvement, work redesign, and staff redeployment, enabling virtual health solutions to effectively address clinical needs and clinical requirements, and the provision of strategic information to support those processes and ensure safe and seamless navigation of patient care. Works collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels and inspires others to achieve goals and deliverables through facilitation, effective communication and addressing potential barriers to success. Communicates with all levels of staff and management to facilitate consensus, consult, negotiate and share information. Liaises with staff, consultants, other health care entities and other external agencies, as needed. Develops sustainable education and operational plans, evaluates outcomes and acts as a resource for staff.
Your duties will include
- Lead and implement Virtual Health projects Develop project plans and timelines in collaboration with clinical and operational stakeholders to support the design, delivery, and scale-up of virtual health solutions across Providence Health Care.
- Monitor progress, performance, and risk Track deliverables, monitor budgets, assess risks, and report on outcomes to ensure initiatives stay on time, on budget, and aligned with quality standards.
- Engage stakeholders and support change management Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, address barriers to success, and ensure project sustainability through education, communication, and process improvement.
- Evaluate outcomes and apply evidence-based practices Collect and analyze data to evaluate project impact, incorporate best practices and emerging trends, and support ongoing innovation in virtual care delivery.
Education
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration or related field and three (3) to five (5) years' recent, related experience in a complex health care environment that includes managing large-scale initiatives, facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
Skills And Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach staff on these skills.
- Broad knowledge of patient care delivery systems in primary, acute and residential settings.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and resolve complex problems.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work of self, identifying and managing multiple and complex priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and advice to others.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently as well as in collaboration with others and on teams.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize initiative, vision, independent thinking and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.
- Demonstrated, effective oral and written communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment involving physician and inter-professional communities.
- Effective collaboration, facilitation, persuasion and negotiation skills to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment and proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database applications.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and report statistical data.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.
- Competitive salary $88,990 - $127,923 CAD annually, depending on experience

Your day to day
- Develops project plans, goals, objectives, timelines and deliverables with input from clinical stakeholders and in consultation with Director or designate.
- Develops and executes a plan for sustainability of the initiative and for scaling up the different initiatives and prototypes to various areas across PHC.
- Executes project plan according to project methodologies, ensures successful and coordinated completion of project components, facilitates consensus with stakeholders as needed, and ensures readiness for project implementation.
- Tracks and evaluates project progress according to project plan, monitors and reports to stakeholders on the status of the project and major issues/obstacles encountered. Implements and monitors performance metrics to ensure standards. In collaboration with the Director, makes recommendations regarding project scope changes, rationale for change, seeks consensus and proceeds as needed.
- Provides leadership and acts as a resource to project team and staff, providing support and ensuring project timelines are met. Conveys policies and priorities and ensures issues are resolved or escalated to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Contributes to the implementation of effective processes to ensure initiative success and to assess risks, by identifying risk mitigation strategies and monitoring risk throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Monitors expenditures, identifies financial issues, seeks to adhere to budget and communicates budget status to Director or designate.
- Communicates with stakeholders, sponsors and the organization on the scope and status of the initiative, benefits to patients and staff, obligations, responsibilities and changes in processes. Ensures questions and concerns are addressed.
- Meets with stakeholders, explains parameters of initiative and seeks input from the interdisciplinary team. Establishes initiative team, roles, responsibilities and structure based on input from stakeholders and identifies team skills and supports required.
- Develops a process of evaluation for initiative outcomes, data collection and analysis.
- Collaborates with team to develop and promote flexible and sustainable education and training strategies and works with initiative team to gain commitment to implemented processes.
- Identifies and evaluates relevant new initiatives, opportunities, developments and trends. Uses evidence based decision making when implementing change and ensures implementation of best practice based on literature and practice at other national organizations.
- Collaborates across organizations to work on initiatives that cross jurisdictional boundaries. Participates on a variety of committees and establishes positive working relationships in order to ensure successful outcomes and cooperation from others on the initiative.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
