JOB OVERVIEW
As a Project Lead, Construction (Development Implementation – Building LeBreton), you will manage, lead and support the planning of infrastructure, public realm and other development implementation projects in support of the Building LeBreton project.
In this role, you will act as NCC’s main point of contact for the projects with internal and external project stakeholders. You will support the Building LeBreton and Real Estate Transactions Division in the delivery of internal and external communications, and in-house approvals and ensure that contractors are fulfilling their contractual responsibilities on budget and on time.
You will also be responsible for developing statements of requirements, project briefs, business cases, and project charters for projects. You will represent the NCC on interdepartmental committees, and support the development of briefing material, presentations, minutes and other committee-related tasks.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in project management, architecture, business administration, planning, engineering or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience with increasing responsibilities in the field of project or program management, including:
•planning, implementing and delivering programs or projects.
•consulting and building consensus with various internal or external stakeholders.
•managing financial and human resources.
KNOWLEDGE
•Of project and program management theories, principles and practices.
•Of planning and environmental legislation as it applies to related projects.
ABILITIES
•To provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
•To manage competing priorities and tight timelines.
•To collaborate in a work environment characterized by overlapping roles and responsibilities between internal and external administrative units.

•Experience with construction projects involving heritage buildings, heritage landscapes, or environmental considerations.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
•Possess or be eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.
•Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB.
•Position is in the National Capital Region. The person selected for this position must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace at 40 Elgin Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
