Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a mid‑level Project Finance Analyst to serve as the financial health guardian for major projects in Dartmouth or Port Hawkesbury, NS. You will analyze costs, forecast revenue, manage budgets, and help lead project financial reporting.

This role emphasizes collaboration with operations and district management to ensure accurate, timely insights. You will mentor project business staff, review contracts, and maintain controls, while coordinating with SAP/Oracle and Power BI tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years of financial/data analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or equivalent degree.
• Knowledge of accounting (GL, AP/AR, payroll, taxes).
• Highly skilled in Excel; Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
• ERP experience with SAP or Oracle for reporting/forecasts.
• Power BI for presenting complex analyses.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organized and interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic; eager to produce high-quality results.
• Willing to travel/relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leads project forecast reviews using historical data and validates forecasts.
• Supports Operations by identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Coaches and manages project staff with clear expectations and feedback.
• Prepares invoicing, manages accounts receivable and revenue, reviews monthly cash flow.
• Reviews prime contracts, change orders, taxes, and payment terms.
• Maintains internal controls and supports audits.
• Drives continuous improvement and positive change across the organization.
• Builds trust and clear communication between Operations and Finance teams.
• Learns field operations to better communicate financial reports.
• Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
