A leading staffing agency is seeking a Project Engineer for a 12-month contract in London, Ontario. The role involves coordinating engineering efforts, preparing project documents, and liaising with subcontractors. Candidates should possess a technical degree and 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, along with excellent interpersonal skills. The position requires some travel within Canada and the US. Competitive hourly pay between $25.00 - $36.00 is offered.

Contract, Project Engineering

Key Job Elements :

  • Member of the Project Engineering Team, responsible for assisting in the execution and coordination of engineering efforts.
  • Prepare planning documents for project execution based on scope of work, engineering resources, schedule, and milestones in support of BCRs.
  • Coordinate and assist with project execution regarding scope, cost, and schedule, using EVMS and departmental procedures.
  • Assist in investigating, analyzing, and recommending corrective actions for project and test issues.
  • Provide engineering support for vehicle testing and Production Verification testing.
  • Prepare necessary materials and attend customer meetings as required by contract and project scope (e.g., reviews, conferences, meetings).

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Sub-Contractors to update schedules, resolve issues, and provide technical guidance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure designs meet contract requirements.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks using IPS tools.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of progress and status.
  • Support Technical Data Package change processes.
  • Coordinate responses to customer requests with CM, Program, and Contracts.
  • Support Obsolescence Management groups with DMSMS.
  • Maintain E-BOMs & I-BOMs for CDRL submissions.
  • Support Technical & System Specification reviews.
  • Assist in Failure Analysis and RCCA investigations in production, testing, and fielding.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

  • University degree or college diploma in a technical discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management.
  • Strong product knowledge of mobile automotive systems.
