Job summary

A global engineering and talent solutions provider is seeking a Project Engineer in London, Ontario. The role involves supporting project execution, coordinating engineering efforts, and providing support for vehicle testing. The ideal candidate has a technical degree, 3-5 years of experience, and strong knowledge of automotive systems. This fully onsite position offers a competitive pay range of $29.00 - $38.00/hr.

• Prepare planning documents for project execution.
• Coordinate project execution regarding scope, cost, and schedule.
• Provide engineering support for vehicle testing and Production Verification testing.
• Liaise with Sub-Contractors to update schedules and resolve issues.

Strong product knowledge of LAV / mobile equipment automotive systems

High interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration

Ability to travel and maintain a valid passport

Description

• Member of the Project Engineering Team, responsible for assisting in the execution and coordination of GDLS-C Engineering efforts.
• Prepare planning documents for project execution based on scope of work, engineering resources, schedule, and milestones in support of BCRs.
• Coordinate and assist with project execution regarding scope, cost, and schedule, using EVMS and departmental procedures.
• Assist in investigation, analysis, and recommendation of corrective actions for project and test issues.
• Provide engineering support for vehicle testing and Production Verification testing.
• Prepare materials and attend customer meetings as required by contract and project scope (e.g., in-process reviews, scoring conferences, Start of Work Meetings, Technical interchange meetings, Customer Design reviews).
• Liaise with Sub-Contractors to update schedules, resolve issues, and provide technical guidance to design teams.
• Coordinate with other GDLS-C departments to ensure new designs meet prime contract requirements.
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks using IPS tools.
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress and status.
• Support Technical Data Package change processes.
• Coordinate with CM, Program, Contracts, and Engineering to respond to customer requests.
• Support Obsolescence Management groups concerning DMSMS.
• Maintain E-BOMs & I-BOMs for CDRL submissions.
• Participate in Technical & System Specification reviews.
• Support Failure Analysis and RCCA investigations during production, testing, or fielding issues.

Skills & Qualifications

• University Degree or college diploma in a technical discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.00/hr.
