Description
- Member of the Project Engineering Team, responsible for assisting in the execution and coordination of GDLS-C Engineering efforts.
- Prepare planning documents for project execution based on scope of work, engineering resources, schedule, and milestones in support of BCRs.
- Coordinate and assist with project execution regarding scope, cost, and schedule, using EVMS and departmental procedures.
- Assist in investigation, analysis, and recommendation of corrective actions for project and test issues.
- Provide engineering support for vehicle testing and Production Verification testing.
- Prepare materials and attend customer meetings as required by contract and project scope (e.g., in-process reviews, scoring conferences, Start of Work Meetings, Technical interchange meetings, Customer Design reviews).
- Liaise with Sub-Contractors to update schedules, resolve issues, and provide technical guidance to design teams.
- Coordinate with other GDLS-C departments to ensure new designs meet prime contract requirements.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks using IPS tools.
- Keep stakeholders informed of progress and status.
- Support Technical Data Package change processes.
- Coordinate with CM, Program, Contracts, and Engineering to respond to customer requests.
- Support Obsolescence Management groups concerning DMSMS.
- Maintain E-BOMs & I-BOMs for CDRL submissions.
- Participate in Technical & System Specification reviews.
- Support Failure Analysis and RCCA investigations during production, testing, or fielding issues.
Skills & Qualifications
- University Degree or college diploma in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of Earned Value Management.
- Strong product knowledge of LAV / mobile equipment automotive systems.
- High interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Ability to travel (5% in Canada, 10% US & international) and maintain a valid passport.
- Must meet anthropometrical size restrictions for confined workspaces.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $38.00/hr.
