Role Overview

Cameco’s Technical Services team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to lead and coordinate all aspects of engineering design and execution for various capital projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that engineering deliverables meet project scope, schedule, and budget requirements, while also addressing constructability, economic feasibility, and logistical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with Cameco’s standards, procedures, and quality expectations.
• Prepare and manage work packages and vendor documentation; facilitate design review sessions.
• Ensure designs meet scope requirements and are fit for their intended purpose.
• Align engineering execution strategies with available resources and project goals.
• Oversee engineering quality assurance and quality control processes.
• Lead and support engineers and designers in producing discipline-specific designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather input and ensure design integration.
• Monitor design progress to ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
• Ensure construction and CMT teams deliver complete and high-quality turnover packages, including inspection test plans (ITPs) and redline drawings.
• Conduct field inspections and support quality control efforts as needed.
• Review and approve Commissioning and Start-Up (CSU) documentation, including ITPs and completion records.
• Provide technical input and support during the planning and execution of commissioning activities.
