Job summary

Associated Engineering in Yellowknife seeks an experienced Project Engineer/Project Manager to lead civil and transportation infrastructure projects across the NWT and beyond. You will drive technical delivery, client engagement, and project leadership from planning through construction.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements, growth opportunities, and a strong focus on northern community impact. The ideal candidate brings P.Eng.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with NAPEG.
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in civil and/or transportation engineering within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Project Engineer and/or Project Manager for civil and transportation infrastructure projects throughout the NWT.
  • Contribute to the planning, design, and technical delivery of civil engineering projects for a wide range of clients.
  • Maintain strong communication and client relationships, ensuring expectations are aligned and service goals are met.
  • Lead project teams in preparing technical reports, designs, and construction services, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.
  • Support proposal preparation, business development, and marketing efforts within the business area.
  • Collaborate with the Area Manager, NWT on business planning, staffing strategies, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the group.

What You’ll Do

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Canada.
