As our Project Engineer, you will prepare engineering assessments, feasibility studies, detailed designs, and field activities for Capital Sustainment projects. You’ll coordinate engineers, technologists, and external consultants on various projects, including gas transmission and intermediate pressure pipelines.

In Year 1, you will:
  • Maintain compliance with industry regulations, codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Understand FortisBC’s internal processes, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Apply your expertise to projects.
  • Build strong relationships within the Engineering team and with key stakeholders.
In Year 2, you will:
  • Develop leadership skills within the department and enhance team performance.
  • Identify and champion continuous improvements in service delivery.
  • Improve performance and meet project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
What it takes:
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Technical experience in Mechanical and/or Process engineering.
  • Design capacity related to natural gas stations.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer systems and specialized software.
