Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a Project Engineer or Civil Technologist to shape municipal infrastructure across the Bow Valley from our Canmore office. You will work with designers, engineers, and project managers to deliver water, wastewater, drainage, roadways, and site servicing projects from concept through construction.

You’ll contribute to solving land development challenges, coordinate reports and drawings, and engage with contractors and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure and land development design.
  • Familiarity with local construction specifications, materials, standards, and processes.
  • Experience preparing technical drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

As a Project Engineer or Civil Technologist, you'll collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to shape infrastructure that supports thriving communities across the Bow Valley and beyond. Your Impact

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, with eligibility for registration with APEGA or ASET.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure and land development design.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with local construction specifications, materials, standards, and processes.
  • Experience preparing technical drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900

MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
