Job summary

IPEX is seeking a Project Engineer for its Mississauga, Ontario location. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Project Engineering and involves supporting the project engineering team across locations.

You will plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery with quality standards. The ideal candidate has a mechanical/industrial/electrical engineering background, 3+ years in manufacturing, and experience with CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical).
• Working toward or holding a P. Eng designation.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience leading internal and external project teams.
• Knowledge of extrusion and plastic molding equipment; ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and CAD systems; 3D perception.
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead and influence project teams.
• Adaptable, motivated, and a continuous learner with strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics; valid driver’s license; able to travel within Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects within budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, including design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including specifications, drawings, reports, and progress updates.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers for seamless project implementation and communication.
• Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor performance against objectives.
• Ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
