Elevate Your Career as a Project Engineer II with Airswift

Join a leading company in the energy sector as a Project Engineer II, where you'll play a crucial role in managing projects and providing contractor support in Calgary, Alberta.

Role Overview

Perform engineering design evaluations and work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance. Review reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Provide technical support for the engineering process.

  1. Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
  2. Participate in identification & sourcing of long lead equipment, ensuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor.
  3. Coordinate development of Capital Project Management System deliverables.
  4. Coordinate development of Functional Interaction Plan.
  5. Coordinate project issues resolution process.
  6. Responsible for the completion of the assigned work scope in line with the Project Objectives.
  7. Engage Project Team and functional resources to verify that design & construction align with project specifications & standards.
  8. Serve as interface between Project Team & Contractor.
  9. Ensure smooth transitions between project stages.
  10. Lead Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems.
Skills & Qualifications
  • BS degree in engineering field.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities.
  • Multi-discipline skill set.
  • Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications & work processes.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, & frequent changes in priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills & fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs.
