Job description

Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer II in the oil & gas industry in Edmonton, Alberta.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
  2. Identify & source long lead equipment, supporting Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractors until equipment is assigned.
  3. Coordinate the development of the Functional Interaction Plan.
  4. Manage project issue resolution processes.
  5. Coordinate change requests & endorse change authorizations.
  6. Ensure completion of the assigned work scope aligns with project objectives.
  7. Engage with the Project Team and functional resources to verify design & construction compliance with specifications & standards. Lead the Project Management Team (PMT) in applying project management systems.

Successful candidates will have:

  • BSc degree in engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience across engineering, construction, project management, and controls activities.
  • Experience across multiple functions and project assignments, demonstrating a broad skill set.
  • Knowledge of design standards, specifications, and work processes.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, planning, and interface skills.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking fluent English. Proficiency in MS Office.
