Job summary

Barry Callebaut Brantford is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate process and packaging engineering design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance across manufacturing operations.

You will drive BCOS initiatives, lead capital projects, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to improve productivity, reduce waste and ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical) or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering design, manufacturing engineering, or project management.
• Experience in food, beverage, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Champion BCOS through continuous improvement, standard work, and loss elimination.
• Lead capital and operational improvement projects from concept to closeout.
• Design, install, commission, troubleshoot, and improve processes and packaging systems.
• Develop equipment specs, process designs, plant layouts, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage vendors/contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
