Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to validate customer product feasibility.
  • Send RFQ and work with suppliers for outsourced services.
  • Develop technical and price quotations.
  • Manage new program launches and coordinate prototype development.
  • Ensure a smooth hand-off from sales cycle to mass production launch.

Job description

The Project Engineer is involved in customer service, quoting, project management and order entry for new & existing customers. They will need to have the ability to communicate with various stakeholders, be detail orientated and possess strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities :

Work closely with the Engineering and Production teams to validate customer product feasibility.

Send RFQ and work with suppliers to select the best one for the outsourced services.

Develop technical and price quotations.

Manage the new program launches – participating in program kick-off meetings, coordinate the prototype development and effectively communicate with the customers.

Ensure a smooth hand-off from sales cycle to mass production launch, providing all key resources, such as product drawings and specifications.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Engineering or Business undergraduate degree or higher

Experience in the automotive or metal industry

Familiar with steel manufacturing processes

Ability to read blueprints

Understanding of the North American steel standards

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Ability to engage clients, build trust, and develop strong working relationships

Good organization, time management and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
