About The Role

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing engineering projects from design through development, leading execution, including plant and machinery start-up. The role involves designing and improving processes to enhance plant production efficiency and quality.

The Project Engineer will need to travel to other company facilities to assist with plant startups, equipment installation, operator training, factory acceptance tests, and other engineering tasks.

Essential Job Functions

• Research and develop engineering solutions into feasible projects, managing and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, tools, and efficiency.
• Evaluate machinery issues, conduct root cause analysis on failures or downtime.
• Manage and train maintenance teams, providing guidance on preventive and repair maintenance to meet output goals.
• Create and oversee CAPEX projects for company facilities.
• Design new equipment or modify existing equipment.

Proficiency in 3D/2D SolidWorks and CAD drawings is required, ensuring facility layouts are up-to-date and collaborative with team members.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction in the plant.
• Lead or participate in plant start-up planning, including layout design, equipment selection, contractor interactions, and negotiations.
• Monitor operational performance against KPIs and standards.
• Travel to other facilities for engineering tasks as needed.
• Implement best practices for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
