The Opportunity:
Project Document Control Lead for our Rail & Transit team, supporting major project initiatives in Calgary and Toronto. What you can expect to do here:
Champion the development and execution of document management strategies tailored to project and client needs.
Lead and mentor a team of document control professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Oversee the implementation and refinement of document control procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance across projects.
Provide strategic guidance and training to team members on systems, tools, and best practices.
Manage the intake, processing, and distribution of engineering documents and drawings in accordance with established protocols.
Maintain rigorous version control and audit trails for all technical documentation.
Conduct quality assurance reviews and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
Serve as the primary liaison for document control between engineering disciplines, project managers, and external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
10+ years of progressive experience in document management, ideally within engineering or infrastructure sectors.
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Bluebeam Revu, Bentley ProjectWise, and other document control platforms.
Strong understanding of ISO standards and regulatory compliance.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Deep knowledge of project documentation workflows and engineering terminology.
Post-secondary education is an asset.
