Responsibilities

1. Develop design proposals for automated systems and machinery to improve production efficiency.
2. Drive continuous improvement strategies by identifying enhancements to existing processes and machinery.
3. Develop technical project scope by visiting customer sites to understand requirements, constraints, KPIs, and prerequisites for evaluations and quotes.
4. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure project success.
5. Implement MES systems, dashboards, and data collection systems to optimize OEE, lean methodologies, and Six Sigma.
6. Lead automation projects from conception to completion as directed by the project team.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
8. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for all automation projects.
9. Maintain detailed documentation of project plans, designs, and progress reports.
10. Develop standardized solutions and equipment portfolios based on market needs.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven experience managing automation projects and designing automated systems.
3. Experience in PLC programming, robotics, and automation technologies.
4. Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills for technical issues.
6. Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
7. Leadership abilities to guide and motivate project teams.
8. Experience in consumer production industries and knowledge of OpEx tools.
9. Knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD is an asset.
