Job summary

The University of Toronto Scarborough is seeking a Project Coordinator and Designer to support capital and renewal projects in Facilities Management. You will assist from planning and design through tendering, construction and close-out, under the Manager of Facilities Assets & Utilities Planning.

You will coordinate consultants, manage tasks, prepare tender and permit document sets, and help develop electrical system designs while partnering with internal clients to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced diploma in technology/engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years institutional interior design experience.
• Experience with architectural/graphic representation and layout.
• Ability to create 3D models in SketchUp or AutoCAD.
• Design and layout of graphic materials for presentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate stakeholders and consultants on projects.
• Produce technical documentation and CAD drawings for approval.
• Develop technical specs for CAD drawings.
• Ensure designs reflect operational requirements.
• Check accuracy and compatibility of design elements.
• Develop viable design solutions and renderings.
