The Project Coordinator and Designer provides project coordination and design support for capital and renewal projects undertaken by the Facilities Management Department. Working under the direction of the Manager of Facilities Assets & Utilities Planning, the role supports projects from planning and design through tendering, construction and close‑out.
The incumbent supports project management activities, including coordinating consultants and stakeholders, managing assigned project tasks, and assisting with construction administration such as site reviews and documentation. Responsibilities also include design investigations, preparation of tender and permit document sets, and development and coordination of electrical system designs.
The role works collaboratively with internal clients and stakeholders to develop responses to varied and complex program requirements. This includes space program analysis, test fits, layouts, data sets, 3D models, and supporting documentation. The Project Coordinator and Designer also assist in maintaining coordinated project documentation and materials across multiple capital projects.
