Job description

TheProject Designeris a customer-centric sales role that blends interior design consulting, project management, and showroom coordination.

As a trusted advisor and brand ambassador, you’ll guide customers from concept to completion—curating thoughtful spaces, managing home projects, and creating meaningful in-store experiences.

What You’ll Do:

Design & Sales Support

  • Serve as the single point of contact for customers throughout their project journey
  • Offer expert guidance on design, appliances, materials, and furnishings
  • Collaborate with builders, designers, and architects on proposals and quotes
  • Provide product expertise in both indoor and outdoor spaces
  • Educate clients to help them make confident, informed decisions
  • Meet or exceed personal and showroom sales targets

Showroom & Guest Experience

  • Create a welcoming and inspiring environment for customers and event guests
  • Support business development efforts in partnership with the showroom manager
  • Manage client appointments and consultation space availability
  • Maintain a clean, presentable showroom experience
  • Capture and manage guest and customer data for follow-up and long-term relationships

Event Planning & Brand Experience

  • Plan and coordinate in-store events aligned with brand goals
  • Support vendor partnerships, catering, logistics, and event strategy
  • Manage event-day operations, staff coordination, and guest satisfaction
  • Track guest attendance and feedback for continuous improvement

What You Bring:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Interior Design, Architecture, or Marketing is an asset
  • 2–4 years of experience in a sales, design, or client-facing role (retail experience preferred)

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Drive, and POS systems
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, 2020 Design, or SketchUp is an advantage
