Bird Construction, through its BFL Fabricators unit in Nisku, AB, is seeking a Project Coordinator (Structural Steel) to support structural steel and modular fabrication projects from award through completion. You will collaborate with project managers, procurement, fabrication teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in structural steel, modular fabrication or industrial construction, is proficient with Tekla

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree not required; 3+ years in structural steel, modular fabrication, or industrial construction.
  • Proficiency with Tekla PowerFab is required.
  • Experience with procurement and vendor management.
  • Ability to read fabrication and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate structural steel and modular fabrication projects.
  • Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Utilize Tekla PowerFab to track materials, fabrication progress, and project status.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, purchase orders, and vendor deliveries.
  • Manage subcontractor communication, scheduling, and performance.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and key milestones.
  • Support project reporting, meetings, and client communications.
  • Assist with material planning, fabrication sequencing, and module assembly activities.
