Job Summary
The mandate of the Rail Construction Program is to transform, develop, grow and sustain Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit Systems as a component of the City of Ottawa’s overall transportation and mobility strategy.
You are responsible for coordinating, implementing and managing various projects and activities relating to the Rail Construction Program’s operations and mandate in support of the City’s Stage 2 LRT expansion project. You support management staff in the decision making process by conducting research, compiling and analyzing research findings, preparing briefings, writing reports and responses, and maintaining stakeholder relations. You also monitor, track and respond to project related requests and issues directed to management staff from the general public, city staff, external contractors and other levels of government.
Education And Experience
Completion of 3 year university degree, with major focus in the discipline applicable to the business or service delivery area of the position, such as Economics, Business Administration, Communications, Sociology or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience working in a large organization, with demonstrated related experience in project planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation.
The incumbent should be experienced in a range of project related elements, such as information technology, public policy, customer service management, communications, organizational change and development, business process modeling, policy and procedure management or human resources, using such tools as project management, document management, and research analyses.
